Today we held our Annual Club Kata competition. An event that allows competitors multiple opportunities to gain value experience and to hone their skills. 

Sendai Kushiro held our 2024 Christmas Party and Annual Awards evening with over 100 members, parents and supporters in attendance. The evening was a fantastic opportunity for our members to socialise together and celebrate so many achievements.

We are incredibly proud of all six of our members (Rebecca Adie, Grace Snowdon, Ava Coulthard, Rojin Rafie, Megan Fox and Azhin Rafie), who represented KUGB England at the ESKA European Championships in Gondomar, Portugal. 

Our dedicated team from Sendai Kushiro represented us at the KUGB (Karate Union of Great Britain) National Youth Championships and National Student Championships, held at the University of Wolverhampton. All of our members performed well and demonstrated an excellent attitude

Today marked a bittersweet moment at Sendai Kushiro Karate as we said goodbye to Sensei Collin Schubert, 7th Dan, before he moves to Malaysia to be with his family. Sensei Collin has been an extraordinary supporter of our club and we couldn't be more thankful for the time he has invested in us all.

Huge congratulations to the Sendai Kushiro Karate team for their outstanding success at the KUGB Northern Region Championships yesterday! Your hard work, excellent attitude, and respect for the art truly shone through. The club is incredibly proud of your high performance and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

We were delighted to see some excellent performances from Sendai Kushiro members over the weekend. Starting yesterday at the KUGB Shotokan Cup, where our selected team represented the club in exemplary fashion.

A fantastic day of competition at The Sunderland Karate Championship. Karate-ka came from across the country to compete and officiate. A huge congratulations to all of the competitors, many competing for the first time alongside some internationals. Everyone performed well but most importantly the attitude and etiquette was excellent.

On Saturday 27th April a team of competitors were selected to represent Sendai Kushiro at the KUGB National Championships held at Nottingham University. The team spirit, attitude and determination demonstrated of all our our competitors was topped off with some excellent performances.
